Old Mutual Uganda has launched a phone application to allow individuals and couples access professional counselling advice at any time.
The insurance firm launched an SMS counselling app with SMS Media Ltd, offering relationship and financial advice through messaging using smartphones.
“The Old Mutual Uganda app is a digital counselling service designed so people can take part in consultations while on the go… ,” the company statement said.
Through the app, individuals can also book appointments with counsellors to deal with issues ranging from premarital and marital stress to debt management and get insurance quotes.”
Counselling sessions costs Shs 50,000 per hour.
Theodora Niringiye, the proprietor of Relate Counselling, said the app should improve access to professional advice for those who are busy.
